Visuals of excruciating events can become rallying cries in national movements for accountability, justice, and change. Sometimes they even work as legal evidence and proof for the families who have lost loved ones. Yet, graphic images and videos of death can traumatize, especially those closest to the victims. In 2010, Spencer Booker lost his brother Marvin, when five deputies shocked him repeatedly with a Taser and put him in a sleeper hold while he was handcuffed in a Denver jail. It was all captured on video. This week, Spencer and his wife Gail sit down with Brooke to talk about why they supported showing the video, despite the pain it still causes them.
